My Father My Friend

My Father and My Friend Sir Conrad Bosah Ours was a special relationship it grew beyond that of father and daughter into that of a Mentor, A friend and a close confidant. You remind me of the kind of kinship we have with God. If God had a human replica or representative, that was you. I can't bear to write in the past tense because you are still here with me. You live in me. Forever in my heart, my soul and my mind. Where shall I begin? The times we talk, laugh, share ideas and of course argue but you showed me that I am an overcomer. My greatest anger is that I didn't get to see the look on your face as I would if i had told you I made a First class! Yes daddy! I did it! I made the First class that you always prayed for. I know how proud you and happy and how quiet tears would have welded up in your eyes, tears of joy and pride but alas I am the one with the tears. I may not cry outwardly, I have not been able to but my heart bleeds and you know it. You left me at a time I needed you most but don't worry I am strong and I would make sure Mummy, Mimi, Ify and Ifeatu are Alrightt. What great responsibility but I learnt from the best I look forward to sharing with my girls what great a father I have and keeping the family as tightly knit as you bade me do. Hmmmm, where would I stop, what should I say? My best friend left without saying goodbye, I am greatly consoled that you knew no suffering and all your stress is ended.
